Collector First, Dealer Second

Abel Coins & Collectibles is a collector-run shop based in Minnesota, built around one simple idea: buy the coin you’d want to keep. We focus on certified U.S. coins, sealed original bank boxes, and fresh estate finds — the kind of material that still has a story attached.

I’ve always been drawn to the history in your hand — the grade, the surfaces, the hunt for a clean example when most aren’t. That passion is why every listing here gets front and back photos in natural light, PCGS or NGC cert numbers you can verify yourself, and honest condition notes in plain English.

No big-box inventory, no hype. Just carefully picked coins, housed in non-PVC holders, packed like I’d want them to arrive, with returns if something isn’t as described. If you collect Roosevelt dimes, Ikes, or original rolls, you’re in the right place. Thanks for collecting with us.

By day, I’m a Registered Nurse, dedicated to caring for patients and navigating the fast-paced world of healthcare. The hospital corridors are where I thrive, using my skills and compassion to make a difference. But when the scrubs come off, a different passion takes center stage—collecting.

It started as a small hobby, a casual interest in coins I found at flea markets. Over time, that interest blossomed into an obsession, and I began to expand my collection, diving into cards, stamps, and any collectible that caught my eye. Each piece carries a story, a slice of history, or a glimpse into a different world.

Balancing nursing and collecting isn’t always easy. After long shifts, I find solace in sorting through my treasures, cataloging coins from ancient civilizations, trading rare baseball cards, or hunting for elusive collectibles at weekend fairs. The thrill of the hunt is addictive, the joy of discovery unparalleled.

Collecting has taught me patience and attention to detail—skills that seamlessly translate back into nursing. Every coin or card in my collection reminds me that value isn’t always obvious at first glance, much like the resilience and strength I see daily in my patients.

In this unique blend of science and passion, I’ve found a fulfilling rhythm. Nursing feeds my soul, while collecting feeds my curiosity. Together, they create a story of dedication, discovery, and the joy of pursuing what truly makes me come alive.
